The First United Pentecostal Church of Union, Mississippi was founded by Brother Jack Lamar Neese in 1965 with services being held first in a store located near Grady Johnson’s house and then on a lot near the current church building on Old Highway 15 in a tent. In 1966 the current sanctuary was built.

Brother Neese pastored until August 1967
Brother Walter Cecil Sistrunk pastored for a month.
Brother James Bogle pastored from December 1967 until April 1968.
Brother Sistrunk then returned as pastor and pastored until January 1970.
Brother Dennis Kohlbrecher pastored from January 1970 until May 1976.
Brother E. L. Spence pastored from May 1976 until March 1980.

Brother Ronnie Stokes pastored from April 1980 until November 1984.
Brother Shelby Yates pastored from January 1985 until April 1985.
Brother Harlan Smith pastored from May 1985 until June 1987.
Brother Robert C. Crosby I pastored from August 1987 until his death in November 2014. Under Pastor Crosby I’s leadership the church was incorporated and changed it’s name to Union Pentecostal Church in May of 2003.

Brother Clif Crosby II became the pastor in November 2014

In April of 2017 the construction of a new building for a sanctuary and fellowship hall was started.

As of July, 2026 Pastor Crosby II is still pastoring the church.
